Puntaroivat tuolla Cardplayerin turnausblogissa, että toisena päivänä Patrik sai huonon paikan arvonnassa, kun hän joutui turnauksessa kakkosena olevan Michale Mizrachin oikealle puolelle. Eli Michaelilla oli positio Patrikiin nähden. Miten kävikään. Mizrachi ulkona turnauksesta ja Patrik jatkaa johdossa.

    Title: Grinder Backs Away
Log: Patrick Antonuis and Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi got involved in yet another showdown today. Following a flop of 10c-8s-4c, the Grinder made it 30,000 to go. Antonius re-raised all in. The Grinder took a few minutes to make his decision before standing up and backing away from the table. After a few moments, the Grinder returned to fold his pocket Jacks, face up. As a sign of respect, Antonius showed his pocket Queens giving Mizrachi the piece of mind that he had made the right decision. These two dangerous players continue to battle, with Antonius’ chip stack roughly around 400,000.

Title: Patrik Antonius v. Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi
    Log:
With the board showing Ks-6c-4d-5c on the turn, Patrik Antonius bets $15,000, Michael Mizrachi raises to $45,000, and Antonius calls. The river card is the 8h, giving a straight to anyone holding a seven. Antonius bets $80,000, and Mizrachi calls. Mizrachi shows 8c-7c for the eight-high straight, but Antonius shows 9h-7h — for the nine-high straight. Antonius wins a pot worth over $250,000 against the Grinder, and increases his chip lead.

Antonius made a risky call on the turn, with nothing but a gut-shot straight draw, but it paid off for him when he caught the perfect card for the nuts — leaving Grinder with the second nuts.

Title: New Chip Leader — Darrell “Gigabet” Dicken Doubles Through Patrik Antonius
    Log:
Darrell “Gigabet” Dicken raises preflop, Patrik Antonius reraises, and Dicken calls. The flop comes Js-7d-5d, Dicken bets out, and after a long period of thought, Antonius moves all in. Dicken immediately calls with 7c-5h (two pair). Antonius shows Kd-Jd (pair of jacks, flush draw), and he has a ton of outs to win this hand. The turn card is the 9h, and the river is the As. Antonius fails to improve, and Darrell Dicken doubles up in the biggest pot of the tournament to about $885,000 in chips.

Antonius took a huge hit on that hand, but he still has an above-average stack of about $412,000 in chips. But Darrell Dicken is the new chip leader!

Title: Joe Cassidy Wins a Huge Pot Against Patrik Antonius to Take the Chip Lead

    Log:
With the board showing 9s-6d-5d-Qh-Jh on the river, Joe Cassidy bets $120,000 into a $500,000 pot, and Patrik Antonius raises to $320,000. Cassidy makes an incredible call with Ad-7c (ace high). Sure enough, Antonius shows Ah-3d, and Cassidy’s kicker plays to win the entire pot.

Joe Cassidy is our new chip leader with approximately $1.45 million, while Antonius is down to $500,000.

    Kyllä täytyy olla kovat readit….

    Title: Dennis Waterman Doubles Up
Log: Patrick Antonius made a raise of 40,000, to which Dennis Waterman responded by pushing his remaining 87,000 into the pot. Antonius called and turned over Qs-10c. Waterman showed pocket 8’s. The board came 8h-6c-3c-Kd-6s, giving Waterman the full house and 174,000 in chips.

    Title: Davood Mehrmand’s Table Rankings/Rantings
Log: Davood Mehrmand is very excited by the play he has seen at his table, particularly the call that Joe Cassidy made when Patrik Antonius check-raised him on the river with the board showing 9s-6d-5d-Qh-Jd with nothing but Ad-7c. (Antonius had Ah-3d.)

Mehrmand ranks his table as a five-star table, while the one next to his is a two-star table, and the one next to that is a one-star table. The table on the other side of his, he labels as a “zero-star” table. But Mehrmand spends most of his time talking about the amazing play he is seeing on his own table, particularly from Joe Cassidy.

Take it for what it’s worth.

Title: Davood Mehrmand Eliminated in 29th Place
    Log:
Joe Cassidy raises to $45,000, Davood Mehrmand calls all in for $39,000 from the small blind, and Patrik Antonius calls from the big blind. The flop comes 8h-6h-6s, Antonius checks, Cassidy bets $55,000, Antonius raises to $400,000, and Cassidy folds. Antonius shows 10h-6c (trip sixes), while Mehrmand shows Ah-7h, which is good for a flush draw. The turn card is the As, and Mehrmand needs to catch an ace or any heart to survive. But the river card is the 10s, and Antonius makes a full house (sixes full of tens) to eliminate Davood Mehrmand in 29th place.

Ihan hyvissä asemissa Patrik on. Tuolla stackilla on hyvät mahdollisuudet finaalipöytään. Vaikka tuuriakin tarvitaan.
